Farhad, an 18-year-old student from the village of Mahi Ghair in Bagram District, Parwan Province, carries the heavy responsibility of providing for his family of five. Despite his young age and ongoing studies, he is the only breadwinner in his household.
Balancing work and school was becoming nearly impossible, and financial stress threatened to end his education altogether. His family often struggled to afford food and other basic needs.
